Tatreez is the embroidery Palestinian women have stitched for generations, a way of recording identity, village and life's milestones in thread. Every motif is a word in that language.
This red dress is embroidered with diamond motifs, one of the oldest shapes in tatreez, repeated like a heartbeat down the front and along the sleeves. A matching belt shapes the waist while keeping the traditional silhouette intact.
