Tatreez is the embroidery Palestinian women have stitched for generations, a way of recording identity, village and life's milestones in thread. Every motif is a word in that language.
Here the tatreez is worked in blue down the front and along the flowing sleeves: calm, deep and quietly striking, like the Mediterranean off the coast of Yafa. A matching belt shapes the waist while keeping the traditional silhouette intact.
